NCEC, Inc. is different from other competing utilities in the
Ellis, Freestone, Navarro, Limestone and Hill County areas.
( NCEC, Inc. Service Area ). We are a non-profit
organization, owned by those  we serve.   When you
receive service from NCEC, Inc. you will complete a
membership form and when your meter is set you become
a member / owner of the Cooperative. We are locally
governed by a Board of Directors who are members of the
Cooperative and whom are elected by our members at our
Annual Meeting.   When the Co-op's financial position
allows, we also pay what we call Capital Credits to the
membership  -  these are the profits from previous years
operations.  When you call or stop by our offices, you can
not only talk to a real person but someone who is familiar
with your area.

Navarro County Electric Cooperative is a non-profit electric utility company serving portions of Ellis, Navarro, Freestone, Hill and
Limestone Counties in Texas.  It was established in the 1930's to bring electric service to areas which were not being served by
investor owned utilities at the time.  If you are receiving electric service from us, you are an owner of the Cooperative.  We are
governed by a board of locally elected members - members just like yourself with an interest in a reliable, customer-focused utility.
At NCEC, we are committed to the philosophy of working hard to keep your rates low, providing reliable service, and returning the
profits back to you.
