| NCEC, Inc. is different from other competing utilities in the Ellis, Freestone, Navarro, Limestone and Hill County areas. ( NCEC, Inc. Service Area ). We are a non-profit organization, owned by those we serve. When you receive service from NCEC, Inc. you will complete a membership form and when your meter is set you become a member / owner of the Cooperative. We are locally governed by a Board of Directors who are members of the Cooperative and whom are elected by our members at our Annual Meeting. When the Co-op's financial position allows, we also pay what we call Capital Credits to the membership - these are the profits from previous years operations. When you call or stop by our offices, you can not only talk to a real person but someone who is familiar with your area. |
